How to Get More Traffic to Your Blog
Having a blog is a great way to build an internet business website or use it as one of your internet marketing strategies for your online business. Of course, your blog is pretty much worthless if nobody ever visits it. So you need to get as much traffic to your blog as you possibly can.
Here are several ways for how to get more traffic to your blog:
* Link Building – Using different SEO strategies such as building backlinks is extremely important for getting more traffic to your blog, and for internet marketing in general. There are many different ways to get backlinks. You should utilize as many of the ways as possible to get as many backlinks as possible. This is something you will continually do throughout the life of your blog but you won’t have to do it as much once you get high search engine rankings.
* Article Marketing – This is one way to get backlinks but it’s also a great way to get direct traffic to your blog. You write useful and informative articles on various topics in your niche and submit them to article directories. You’re hitting two birds with one stone when you utilize this internet marketing strategy.
* Comment on Other Blogs – As with article marketing this is a good way to get backlinks to help with search engine rankings and get direct traffic from the link you leave in your blog comments. To do this all you need to do is visit other people’s blogs in your niche and leave useful and relevant comments on posts that interest you.
* Guest Blogging – A great internet marketing strategy to get more traffic to your blog is to write guest posts for other blogs. Contact other bloggers in your niche and ask them if you can send them a guest post. Many will say yes. You’ll get a lot of visitors from their blog and at least one link back to your website to help with SEO. Just make sure you write very high quality and completely original guest posts or nobody will publish them.
* Social Sites – Social networking sites such as Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter along with social bookmarking sites such as Digg, Delicious, and Mixx can be good ways to get more traffic to your blog.
* Video Marketing – Creating marketing videos can be a great way to get more traffic to your blog. The videos don’t have to be anything extraordinary either. Just create basic videos, post them on YouTube or other video site, and include a link back to your blog.
* Pay Per Click (PPC) – This takes some money and it also takes a lot of knowledge so be careful with this one if you don’t know what you are doing. If you take the time to properly learn how to use PPC, such as Google Adwords, it can be extremely beneficial to your internet business. PPC can generate a lot of targeted traffic to your blog and can make you a lot of money.
Use all of the above marketing strategies and you will certainly get a lot of traffic to your internet business blog and make money from it.
5 Make Money Online Blogs Worth Reading
I’m going to assume you are reading this blog (and others) because you want to find internet marketing business strategies so you can learn how to make money online. Well, if that’s the case, you need to know which blogs to read so you aren’t wasting your time with the ones that don’t actually teach you anything useful.
I’ve been making money online as a full-time internet marketer since May 2003 and I have been blogging since July 2004. I now have hundreds of websites/blogs and run a very successful online business. I definitely have a lot of experience and I guess you can say I am someone worth listening to.
In all these years working online and reading blogs there are very few bloggers that I have found to be worth following. Here are 5 blogs that I feel very comfortable telling you about because they really do give you the internet marketing tips you need to make money online, in no particular order:
1) Make Money Online – This is simply a no-brainer. If you don’t read this blog and follow the advice of Griz you are just plain stupid! That might sound a little harsh but it’s true. There’s a reason this blog dominates pretty much every imaginable keyword related to make money online and has so many people raving about it all the time… Griz is a master at internet marketing and he’s not afraid to share his strategies with the world. This has been the blog I most highly recommend since the day I found it back in 2007. (note: the URL has been changed to his new blog with the same information)
2) How to Make Money Online – Coming in at a close second to Griz as the person I most highly recommend following in the make money online world is Courtney Tuttle, the co-owner of “The Keyword Academy” and at least one other top internet marketing blog. He knows what the hell he’s talking about and he happily shares his knowledge with anyone who will listen.
3) Make Money Online with SEO – Here’s a blog that I only recently started reading and it instantly became one of my favorites. Ben has taken the teaching of Griz, Court, and a couple others, added his own techniques, and formed a great system for making money online. He tells it like it is and really enjoys teaching people how to make money online with SEO.
4) Make Money the Honest Way – This is a blog owned by one of my closest online business friends who also happens to be one of my favorite internet marketers, Terry Didcott. He has so many blogs that he spreads his teaching around on that it makes it very hard to point to just one of them. However, this is his original so it’s the one I recommend starting with, but I definitely recommend reading his others too.
5) Passive Income Online – Lis Sowerbutts (yep that’s her real name) is the owner of this controversial passive income blog. She likes to stir things up every once in a while, which pisses some people off, but I think it’s great. She learned how to make money online from the best of the best (Griz, Court, Vic, Terry, and others) and now she is teaching others how to do it.
Side note: I do have a few more that I highly recommend but I didn’t want to make the list too long. I’ll post the others sometime in the near future.
Some of the above blogs don’t get updated often and sometimes they like to stir things up with some controversy, but I can assure you that you’ll make money online if you follow their advice.
Making money online as an internet marketer is mainly about tapping into the right niches and dominating the search engine results for those niches. It really is that simple! The blogs I have listed above will teach you how to do that. Yes, there’s a lot of learning and hard work that goes into doing those things, but anyone who has the true desire and work ethic required to succeed at internet marketing can do it.
There’s one more VERY important thing I want you to take away from this post. Listen up because whether you start reading the above blogs or not doesn’t really matter in the grand scheme of things, but this does…
You NEED TO STOP wasting your time following the so-called “A-List Bloggers” such as John Chow (johnchow.com), Darren Rowse (problogger.net), Jeremy Schoemaker (shoemoney.com), Yaro Starak (entrepreneurs-journey.com), Caroline Middlebrook (caroline-middlebrook.com/blog) and the rest of their little clan.
Nothing personal against those bloggers. I don’t dislike any of them as a person, but the fact is that they make a lot of money off newbie’s by pretending to teach you how to make money online. However, if you don’t listen to me now, you will soon learn they don’t actually teach anything and their blogs are full of useless fluff.
Well, that’s about all I have to say right now. I’ll get another post up about the rest of my recommended make money online blogs some time soon.
Dedicated to your internet marketing success,
Trent Brownrigg

Top 5 Reasons Why Blogging Is Now the Big Dog on the Internet Marketing Block
Blogging has really taken off in the past few years. You would be hard pressed to find anyone with a computer that hasn’t at least heard of blogging. And almost every internet marketer now has a blog or an entire network of blogs.
Blogging used to be a way to voice your opinion on a given topic or to write down your thoughts like you would in a journal, but has evolved into a full business model used by thousands of people and businesses all over the world. As it continues to grow, internet marketers have all but taken over blogging arena.
Here are 5 good reasons why you should consider blogging as a serious internet marketing tool:
1. Blogging is simple. If you have a computer and an internet connection then it’s quite easy for the average person to start blogging within minutes. You can then start teaching, sharing your ideas, advertising products, services, etc…
2. Blogging has an “authentic” feel to it. In most blogs, real people share their real-life experiences, untouched by paid advertising. Reading blogs about first-hand product use is increasingly being used by web shoppers as an authentic source of information before pressing the “buy now” button.
3. Blogging is free. You can start a blog right now on any number of blogging platforms such as blogger or wordpress and it won’t cost you anything. Any time you can use free resources for your internet marketing business it’s definitely a bonus. Of course, buying a domain and paying for hosting for your blog is much better in the long run but you don’t have to do it.
4. Blogging builds your credibility. As you get more and more into writing information on a particular topic, your readers come to depend on your posts for advice. As you build your credibility as an “expert” more readers visit your site and more bloggers link to your posts. As companies and professionals notice your growing readership, they may soon contact you for advertising on your blog, or offer you a joint venture, which is excellent, either way.
5. Blogging gradually “builds” your market. Unless your name is well known in the internet marketing world, you’ll be lucky to even get your mom to read your first posts. But after you have done a little promoting and people start to talk about all the great information you freely give on your blog, you will start to build up a following.
As you can see, blogging is a wonderful internet marketing tool and you should not ignore it or you will fall behind your competition. It’s time to start blogging right now!
