Remember the Law of Reciprocity in Internet Marketing

Most people start in online marketing for reasons that are self-serving… They want to make more money, not have to answer to a boss, work from home, set their own schedule, take more vacations, and so on. Most likely I have listed at least one of the reasons why you got into internet marketing too, or something very similar.

There’s nothing wrong with wanting to make your life better or wanting to help yourself. But it is very important to also help other people if you want to be highly successful. You need to remember the Law of Reciprocity in internet marketing.

The Law of Reciprocity is basically all about a person getting back what they give. It’s sort of like the “Golden Rule” which states, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you” — That means treat people like you want to be treated. So, if you are generous and help other people then other people will be generous back to you. It works the other way too, so if you aren’t good to people then people won’t be good to you.

For many years salespeople and all types of “marketers” have used this natural law to their advantage to get more sales. That’s why people in these professions tend to give you lots of free stuff.

Not only do you need to remember the Law of Reciprocity in internet marketing but you have to believe in it too. Sooner or later you will find that it is absolutely true. This law is the reason why many successful internet marketers are very generous with their time and with their money. They freely share their expertise with others because they’ve been around long enough to understand that the Law of Reciprocity is true and can help or hurt their internet marketing business.

Not only will practicing the Law of Reciprocity help your internet marketing business as long as you do it in a positive way, but it will also make you feel good about yourself, which will increase your enthusiasm and help you do even better with your business. So, be generous with what you have and help others as much as possible. Share your knowledge with customers, potential customers, and everyone else.

This will help you and your internet marketing business a lot more than you might think!
