Videos are very popular online right now and there are a lot of great opportunities for internet marketers who create videos as part of their marketing strategy. Videos are a great way to market an internet business or a specific product or service. All internet marketers should be using videos as one of their business marketing strategies. However, many internet marketers have some fears about creating online videos that stops them from using videos, but these are nothing more than myths. Let’s clear up these video marketing myths right now.
Online Video Myth #1 – They Take too Much Work to Create
The first myth about online videos is that it takes too much work to create them. Yeah, some internet marketers create videos that are very involved and take a lot of time and energy. But that doesn’t need to be the case. You can easily create a basic video that will serve its purpose for your internet marketing strategy and do very well online. Videos don’t have to require a lot of time and work.
Online Video Myth #2 – They Take too Much Money
Another misconception about online videos is that they take a lot of money to create. Again, some internet marketing businesses do spend a lot of money to create incredible videos. But that doesn’t mean you have to in order to be successful with them. You can create a video that costs you nothing at all and that video can still be highly effective in marketing your internet business.
Online Video Myth #3 – They Require too Much Technical Knowledge
Contrary to popular belief, online videos really don’t take very much technical knowledge or expertise. In fact, you can learn how to create a basic internet marketing video in less than an hour. In that little time you can learn enough to create the video, post it on the internet, and get people to view it. Obviously it takes a little more expertise to create complex videos, but beginners can create basic videos that have the potential to be very popular with online viewers.
As an internet marketer you should not allow myths about creating online videos stop you from using them for business marketing purposes. Videos can be very powerful and effective so every online marketer should be using videos to help market their internet businesses.

So many people are afraid of video marketing, and they are missing such a great marketing opportunity for their business.
The number one thing you can do is just forget the camera, and relate as you would to a friend. If you are afraid of your face on camera and just can’t beat that challenge, then do a powerpoint presentation. Its easy, and you still get a strong message across.
I have been reading your blogs post and have enjoyed the content immensely
Thanks
Megan
There are a lot of video generating software available now for little or no cost to aid you in setting up a video marketing strategy.
Video is one good resource for marketing. I agree with Geoff, these days there are many software in the market that help you generate an video. You can upload these video’s on YouTube where they also provide you a facility to generate a private channel for another internet marketing option.
Video and photo marketing is very popular now a days. It is said to be effective like in Youtube and Flicker. It is a great marketing technique if it is just done correctly and this technique is not hard to do.
We have a flip video camera and it is very easy to use to make videos. We’re considering adding some to our website since it’s so easy or posting them to YouTube.
I can say that videos can be done by almost anyone, Its easy to go infront of your cam and talk about things or provide guides, tips or even entertainment for other web surfers. All we need is confidence and try not to make things complicated :D
Great post. Thanks for discussing it in detail. Videos can be a great tool for marketing your internet business. Also offline advertising can be too. It works well for me. For example, I’ve had great luck with postcards, display ads, classified ads and recently radio advertising, which I am finding very interesting for driving qualified leads to my business.
Good point. Videos are much easier to make than many people think. Simple videos can be very productive too.
I like your comment about online videos. It seems online video marketing is becoming the standard and with a free service like youtube you really have nothing to lose.
Myth number 1 is a huge myth and I need to constantly remind myself that it is a myth. Videos can be made faster than an article can be written. Uploading a video is also very quick. If you are an expert on the topic it makes video creation even easier – try one and you’ll see for yourself! Fantastic article, thanks!
it is true that they don’t really cost that much at all.
Regarding point number 3, you’re right – technical knowledge isn’t always important. It can be useful but if you have a basic understanding of how something works then you can make a video.
In creating a video, all you need is working camera (sometimes a good webcam will do) and you as the actor no one else. You don’t need to spend high budgets on lightning, video staffs etc. It is talent that we are talking about, the way we speak and communicate through video is something that doesn’t requires money or technical stuffs.
Video is a great medium to really put a person with a product. People want to know they are buying something that is legitimate and from someone who is legitimate.
On a side note if you host the videos on your own site rather than using Youtube the seo value is “SOOOOO POWERFUL”. I have a competitor for one of my keywords whom uses video and he has 78 links to his page and I have around 1,300 and he outranks me. The power of video goes far beyond just the visual appeal, search engines love it!.
They definitely don’t take too much money. Anyone with an internet connection can actually make one for free if they are prepared to download some free screen capture software or if they already own a digital camera which has a video function…
Video and photo marketing are really cool because anyone can make a video these days. And it really helps the company by having a video advertising their services. Nice internet marketing blog!
You’re very right about video creation. A webcam and a capture program (there are free/cheap solutions) is all you need. I think the real problem for people lies in their willingness to be in front of a camera.
I’m a big fan of video creation. I make videos almost every day now. I use Camtasia and as I work as an internet marketer it makes it very easy for me to explain jobs to people who I work with in other parts of the world. Videos can actually save a lot of time when you become familiar with how to make them.
Very useful post. I’ve noticed this myself that like web marketers, many small business owners and service professionals also underestimate their ability to do video marketing.
So I also would like to encourage them to try their hand in video marketing, since video squeeze pages have been reported to be more effective in sales conversion.
Plus online videos will help any person or business get found more easily on the web, their e-mails read more, and their readers to spend more time on their blogs and to share more posts.
I agree with all of this information. Videos do not take any more time, money or talent compared to any other type of marketing. They also seem to be easier for the viewer to retain the information given.
Creating a marketing video takes only few minutes if you keep it simple.
